If any of you guys have cold remedies that actually work, I'm all ears. Y'know, in case I ever need 'em again. 'Cause there's no way I'm ever gonna suck on another frozen frog, thanks.

[ So, Toph had spent the last week and a half confined to her bed. Well, just to her room. But she was in bed for most of it, because she'd come down with a strange cold that nothing could seem to cure. (Looking for a cure had been an adventure in itself. But that's a story for another time.)

That said, she'd been feeling better these last couple of days, and today she was finally able to harass someone into letting her out of the house (instead of just escaping, anyway.) The weather was starting to get cold, so it wouldn't be long before the days got too chilly for her to spend so much time outside. She was going to take advantage of what time she had left. So, after spending the morning at the barracks making sure her bending hadn't suffered from her cold (it hadn't), she wastes some time at the Avatar House's backyard, lazily raising elaborate, miniature structures and landscapes out of the earth.

And when she needs a minute to rest (because she's still only just recovering!), well, she decides that there was nothing wrong with just lying on the ground. By the end of day, she's totally covered in sand and dust and earth. But who's complaining, right? At least she isn't tracking mud into the house. ]

[Because Suki has been staying at the house every now and then, and spots Toph up and about.]

Nice to see you back on your feet again. Need me to get you anything?

Yeah, I can see that. Well, at least you're walking now. Feel good to have your feet back on the ground?

I can't promise you won't, but we'll just have to make sure you don't. Might mean more tea.

[She just laughed.]

Don't worry. I will. Or Iroh.

That he does. And I think his age kind helps out. He has more chances to mess up and find out what works and doesn't.

Well, we can change that by being like that when we're older.

Maybe it's easier for me, since they don't seem to know a lot about what happens to me.

It's fine. I kinda don't want to know. The only thing I care about is if the Kyoshi Warriors made a mark.

And that it is. Sometimes it's easier just to think that Ikki is just a young girl, and not going any deeper than that.

That's true. I can see Aang being as hyper as she is. I wonder if all airbenders are like that.

Just be happy you don't know the kids from Kyoshi Island. Now they can cause a headache.

And, who insist on calling Aang... Aangy. They called him Aangy. [Do you know how annoying that is?]

Oh Spirits, please don't. Not for his, but for mine. I swear, that's all Koko said. "How's Aangy?" "Did you really help Aangy save the world?" "Does Aangy remember me?" Horrible.

Thank you. I heard it enough at home. Kyoshi Island really loves Aang.

You'll have to tell me how it goes though.
